**Child sexual abuse prevention: Programs for adults** by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (2011)
This guide is intended to provide sexual violence advocates with information about child sexual abuse prevention programs that target adults. It will provide information about the basics of such programs and an overview of evaluation research for these programs. This guide is intended to assist advocates and prevention educators in selecting or designing prevention programs, and to provide evidence to support them in advocating for these programs to funders and the community at large.

Active Parenting of Teens
Active Parenting of Teens from Active Parenting Publishers features a new video and revised program that addresses teenagers and technology, bullying, stepfamily issues, and teen sexuality, amongst other topics. It is also available in Spanish.
Circle of Parents
United Family Services / Rape Crisis Center in Monroe, NC uses the “Circle of Parents” program with a group of parents who participate through the Department of Juvenile Justice. The parents bond well during these 8-12 week sessions.
HELP! My Teen is Dating
Mike Domitrz, Executive Director of The Date Safe Project, produced a video/book training tool, “HELP! My Teen is Dating” that provides parents with the skills to prepare their teenagers for healthy relationships.
Love And Logic Parenting Class
The Love And Logic Parenting Class curriculum has materials that address parenting teenagers.
Nurturing Parenting
The Nurturing Parenting curriculum features several programs that are divided into the following categories according to intended audience: Primary (Prevention-Education), Secondary (Prevention-Intervention), Tertiary (Prevention-Treatment), and Comprehensive.
Packaging Girlhood
The book Packaging Girlhood: Rescuing Our Daughters from Marketers’ Schemes by Sharon Lamb, Ed.D. and Lyn Mikel Brown, Ed.D., won a parenting award for its advice to parents on counteracting the media’s influence on girls. The authors are now undertaking a similar book for parents of boys.
Parent Project
The Parent Project is dedicated to developing training programs for parents who are raising difficult children. Among the programs offered are “Changing Destructive Adolescent Behavior,” “Loving Solutions (for children ages 5 to 10),” and “WhyTry (a resilience-building program for teens).”
Positive Discipline
Positive Discipline offers e-books, tapes, books, an iPhone and Android app, and other materials that teach life and social skills in a way that respects and encourages both children and adults.
Stewards of Children
Darkness to Light’s “Stewards of Children” program is a sexual abuse prevention training program that educates adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse, and motivates them to courageous action. The “Stewards of Children” program is designed for organizations and corporations that serve children and youth.
